Magnificent building in peaceful grounds with well furnished and spacious rooms. Comfy bed, fluffy pillows and extra little touches that make the stay extra special. Fabulous breakfast catering to all tastes, including the children! Wonderful hosts providing the highest level of attention. Would definitely recommend. "

"There was no A/C. You leave your windows open. After a busy day of walking, we sleep very well on the comfortable bed with the cooling night breeze. Mid-June. Clean, simple, adequate. We at a simple breakfast both mornings in the restaurant downstairs."

"When we arrived, m found our room, we were amazed at how large it was. Was. We were close to everything we wanted to do, and it was a great place to stay. At checkout we asked about getting a taxi, and we're told that taxis were nearly non-existent after covid. This is 2025. The guy running the front desk took us in his personal car down to the train station. It was great service"

"I stayed at the hotel with my dog on the way home to England. I parked outside my room, and which was great! The room was comfortable and clean. The are was quiet and I was able to take my dog for a walk. "

"I booked this property but it was my adult grandchild and boyfriend who actually stayed so I have consulted them for the references. They were more than pleased with everything about their stay and both they and I found the host both charming and helpful in every possible way. They genuinely loved their stay. I visited the house to collect the keys as they were arriving very late and I have to say that it is a lovely place both inside and out. Absolutely top marks in every way. "This was a perfect stopover hotel. It was well located, easy to find, quiet, clean and comfortable. There were some restaurants within walking distance and I had my dog with me. They were very welcoming. I would stay here again."

"We were a little disappointed with the room, as although it was charmingly decorated, there was little space to store clothing and therefore it wasn’t convenient for the 9 nights that we’d booked it for. Hence, we moved out and found somewhere else to stay after 4 nights. One of the beams near the bed was in fact quite dangerous if you got out of bed during the night. My wife banged her shoulder on this and you could easily bang your head if half asleep. It’s the sort of place where you’d only stay one or two nights. Restaurants are quite a drive away and there were no local walking routes. It was also situated on quite a main road and the photos of the outside of the property are not commensurate with how it looks now, which is somewhat misleading when you book. The steps up to the upper rooms need attention as they are uneven and unsafe. The hostesse did her best to make us feel welcome and is a kind person, however. There was no TV in the room and no tea and coffee making facilities. "
